Paramount+ released the latest look at the Halo series, and it seems the war against the Covenant has begun. The clip is full of Easter Eggs for gamers.

Halo will premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, 24 March. The series stars Pablo Schreiber as Master Chief, a Spartan amid an epic conflict between humanity and an alien threat called The Covenant.

Master Chief, “humanity’s best weapon” against the invading alien race, was “enhanced and trained for one purpose: to win this war,” says Natascha McElhone’s Dr Halsey. The trailer also gives a first look at Paramount+’s take on the main antagonists of the Halo franchise and Master Chief’s endeavours on the Warthog.

The latest clips also look at Jen Taylor as Cortana, other stars Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy Charlie Murphy and Danny Sapani. Also featured are Ryan McParland, Burn Gorman and Fiona O’Shaughnessy.

The trailer ends as a dramatic cover of Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” swells, and the Master Chief delivers the final line: “Find the Halo, win the war.”

This television adaptation of the beloved Xbox video game franchise has taken numerous turns. It started on Showtime, then moved to Paramount+. Additionally, showrunner Steve Kane will leave after the first season.

Produced by Showtime in partnership with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television and 343 Industries, the series started production in February in Budapest.

Halo reinvented how people think about video games and has grown into a global entertainment phenomenon, having sold more than 77 million copies worldwide and grossing more than $60 billion in lifetime sales worldwide.
