David Tennant is set to star in Hide, a drama series in development at streaming service, Peacock.
Some may feel that the tale of Jekyll and Hyde has been done to death but Hide is a Jekyll & Hyde story with a twist. It’s a procedural conspiracy thriller with elements of mystery.
The former Doctor Who star will play a disgraced journalist that stumbles on a story with the potential to resurrect his career, who becomes targeted for assassination by unknown antagonists after discovering much more than he was supposed to. When he goes on the run, everyone around him starts to either go missing or turn up dead. When he suffers an accident that causes some serious side effects, he soon realises there are monsters in the world and he may be one of them.
Tennant is will also executive produce the series alongside his wife, actor Georgia Tennant. The project is written/executive produced by WGA Award-nominated showrunners Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters (Agent Carter) and directed/executive produced by Emmy-, BAFTA- and DGA-nominated director Julie Anne Robinson.
