William Shatner to join Haven plus Season 5 musings

william-shatner-two-finger-saluteStar Trek‘s William Shatner will be joining the cast of Haven in a four-episode arc in Season 6. Apparently he’s set to play a pivotal character that has the potential to forever impact the fate of the town of Haven and its troubled residents. Sounds intriguing, I wonder if he’ll be linked to possibly fake CDC doctor Charlotte Cross.

I’ve been quietly watching Season 5 of Haven with creased brow wondering where the Audrey Parker story is going. Since the introduction of the new and seemingly short-lived characters from Season 4, Haven has taken a turn for the stranger than usual.

I waited patiently for five seasons to find out how the troubles began and I have to say I’m a little disappointed with the evil Mara and William reason. I am intrigued with Dave Teagues is an orphan storyline although that hasn’t been given much room to play out yet. There’s supposedly a monster from the ‘other side ‘roaming about killing people but that story has been pushed aside for the Charlotte storyline. I don’t mind new characters that progress the story and Charlotte trying to discover a scientific cure for the troubles is interesting. Even more interesting is the fact that she has a hidden agenda.

Hopefully we find out what Charlotte is up to, who the monster is (I think it’s linked to Dave) and what Mara’s plans for Duke are by the season finale which airs on 5 December.

I really want to find out if croatoan and the monster are linked to Dave and I hope William Shatner does play Mara’s father and everything about Mara’s origins is explained, we need to see the void properly and explain how the barn was made

I’m with you Jessica. I’m interested in the link with Dave and the Monster. So many questions have yet to be answered. I’ve been waiting patiently for the return of Haven to get these answers. It’s been far too long. I hope SyFy isn’t trying to secretly cancel the show.

They better not pasha. If they do we should revolt, there must be more Haven fans. They should at least release all of series 5 on DVD, so that fans can find out what happened. The problem is they bother too much about ratings. Haven is the sort of show you would have thought there would be a definite beginning, middle and end. Speculating about things is fun but resolution is better. Fingers crossed I suppose. People are speculating that William Shatner will play mara/audreys father so that could be interesting.
