There will be new monsters in Doctor Who season 9

5 September, 2015 by PashaO

Doctor Who new monstersSeason 9 of Doctor Who will air on the 19 September and the BBC have been doing a lot of promo work for the new series. Before the new season starts we already know that the Christmas special will see the return of fan favourite, River Song. So what else can we learn about season 9?

In a new trailer Executive Producers Steven Moffat and Brian Minchin tease us about new and returning monsters this season.

The Zygons will be back for a mid season two-parter and Minchin mentions there will be new technology too.

Well they might be keeping secrets about the new monsters but we can see from the promo clip below that the craziest villains in the Whoniverse are back. I guess it wouldn’t be Doctor Who without at least one episode of the Daleks.

We can also see Game of Thrones Maisie Williams in the promo. We still don’t know much about her role in the series but Moffatt assures us she isn’t playing a returning character or someone in the Doctor’s past.
