Amazon Prime has released an official teaser trailer for The Expanse, Season 6 along with a premiere date.
The Expanse enters its final season starting 10 December with new episodes airing weekly each Friday until the series finale on 14 January 2022. There will only be 6 episodes of this final season. Check out the trailer below.
Judging by the trailer, the crew of the Rocinante are in for a wild all or nothing ride. Here’s the official season 6 synopsis:
The sixth and final season of The Expanse picks up with the solar system at war, as Marco Inaros and his Free Navy continue to launch devastating asteroid attacks on Earth and Mars. As the tensions of war and shared loss threaten to pull the crew of the Rocinante apart, Chrisjen Avasarala makes a bold move and sends former Martian Marine Bobbie Draper on a secret mission that could turn the tide of the conflict. Meanwhile, in the Belt, Drummer and what’s left of her family are on the run after betraying Marco. And on a distant planet beyond the Rings, a new power begins to rise.
The Expanse stars Steven Strait as James Holden, Dominique Tipper as Naomi Nagata, Wes Chatham as Amos Burton, Shohreh Aghdashloo as Chrisjen Avasarala, Cara Gee as Camina Drummer. It also features Frankie Adams as Bobbie Draper, Nadine Nicole as Clarissa Mao and Keon Alexander as Marco Inaros.
Despite the season being short, I’m glad the series has been able to go out on its own terms.
If you never got on board The Expanse hype train, you can currently watch the first 3 seasons of the show on SyFy for free if you don’t have an Amazon Prime account. Hopefully, the first 3 seasons will help you decide if you want to continue the space journey.
