Veteran TV actress Robin Givens (Riverdale) has been cast in a key role in the upcoming third season of the CW’s Batwoman.
Givens will be a new series regular on the DC drama playing Jada Jet. According to the logline, Jada Jet is a powerful CEO for Jet Industries, Jada isn’t bossy: she’s the boss. Passionate and hardworking, a woman who has worked her way through life’s ups and downs to climb her way to the top — all while being extremely protective over her impetuous son. A woman with a deep past that forced her to give up her first-born child, Jada is a woman with a good heart but will do whatever it takes to protect her family.
It’s more than likely that Ryan Wilder aka Batwoman (played by Javicia Leslie) is the first-born Jet was forced to walk away from. Ryan grew up believing her birth mother died in childbirth until Alice in the Season 2 finale indicated that Ryan’s mother was in fact still alive. What Ryan plans to do with that important information remains to be seen.
In the season 2 finale, Ryan has fully taken up the mantle as Batwoman with Kate Kane leaving Gotham in a search for her long-missing cousin Bruce Wayne (aka Batman) and Jacob Kane making his final appearance.
