Doctor Who Google doodleWith one more day to go before the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special Google have an awesome Doctor Who game on their search page. This is not encouraging as I promised to be awesome today and get a lot of work done. That is all out the window now!

I’ve spent 12 minutes trying to figure out how to get my Doctor passed the Dalek on level 2. He’s been zapped so many times, I’ll probably get through all 11 incarnations before I figure it out. Poor Doctor. Aaargh! I can’t play this all morning it would be totally wrong. Damn you Google! I think I”ll quit and wait for Google to archive it and play it when I have more time.

Doctor Who fans will already know that the 75 minute special airs tomorrow night on BBC1 (broadcast in 3D for the first time) and will be simulcast on TV channels around the world, as well as in cinemas.

Check out the teasers.

I’m so freaking excited. I don’t normally watch live TV as there are too many interruptions in my house but this is too epic not to take the chance. There will be carnage if anyone dares interrupt my viewing pleasure. #justsaying

UPDATE: I decided to try to complete the game during my lunch break. Finally understood that you have to collect the letters that spell Google on each level. Yay! Did it in 45 minutes.  There was a nice touch with a weeping angel in level three that chilled me a bit. Those angels really freak me out. Good game.
