Battlestar Galactica – My number seven theory

Random theories and conjecture: I doubt I’m close to being right so don’t think there are possible spoilers ahead although it would be cool if I was right somewhere along the line. I’m going along with the show’s theme of god worship.

Okay. On Kobal humans lived with the gods. The gods fraternised with some humans and had children with them. These demigods were frowned upon, there was a falling out and the 12 tribes decided not to stick around. The 13th tribe consisting of demigods and 2 gods who took human form to be with their children left Kobal for a place they named Earth. The gods were Hephaestus (Tigh) and Aphrodite (Ellen). Their children are Anders, Tori and the Chief.

On Earth the 13th created mechanical slaves with the knowledge from the god Hephaestus. Ares god of war comes to earth and initiates a slave revolt and earth gets nuked. Ellen ensures that her families’ souls will be reborn amongst the 12 colonies somewhere and that one day they would remember who they were. Not resurrected but reborn.

On the colonies the humans created mechanical slaves who rebelled and after a war the slaves left to find a place they could call home. In the 40 years before the attack on the colonies the cylons didn’t sit around. They travelled the stars and researched what it was to be human. With trial and error they created seven models each model coming closer to being human. The 7th model was so close to being human that it miraculously received the soul of Ares: Hence Leoben’s talk with Adama about god changing his mind and giving souls to other beings. With the soul came the knowledge of past events. They created model 8 but no soul given. Ares (number 7) taught them about resurrection and so the cylons built resurrection technology. Ares also taught them about the one god: himself.

Ares being bitter and twisted encouraged the cylons to wipe out humanity to ensure the souls of Aphrodite and Hephaestus cannot be reborn again. He programmed the others to think that there were 5 other skin job models but that they shouldn’t think about them as a smoke screen. There are 5 other cylons but they are not skin jobs. They are: the hybrid, the centurions, the raiders, the base ship and number 7. Memories of number 7 were wiped from their collective memories: hence no one has ever mentioned the random numbering of the Sharon model.

Number seven is pulling the strings on the side of the cylons and Ellen is pulling the strings on the side of humanity and her hybrids. The bodies found on earth have been tested and found not to be human it doesn’t mean they are cylon just different.

Kara Thrace is dead! The thing that walks among them is the god Hermes messenger of the gods and also known as the harbinger of death. Kara’s mother was one of the fates so always knew of Kara’s special destiny, to die and be replaced. All this has happened and will happen again because Ares is on a mission to wipe out the other gods but can’t locate them as long as they are in the human bodies.

Sounds a bit lame now that I’ve read it back but, I still think that there is someone pulling the strings on the side of the Cylons and Ellen is pulling the strings on the side of the humans and hybrids. To what end is the mystery.

Anyone want to make this into fan-fic feel free.
