Bring back Xena: Lucy Lawless says the world is crying out for a hero

13 July, 2015 by PashaO

Every so often there’s talk of a Xena: Warrior Princess reboot but to the disappointment of fans, nothing ever comes of it.

This week at Comic Con Xena actress Lucy Lawless spoke again about bringing back the franchise.
Speaking to HitFix Lucy said the issue about not knowing who owns the rights to the series was a piss poor excuse.

“I think they just…find who’s got the rights,” she said. “Freakin’ pay it. It’s better to have 80 percent of something than 100 percent of nothing. Don’t waste this opportunity. Reinvigorate that franchise…They’re fools not to bring it back.”

“The world is crying out for a hero” Lucy added, stating that the series had great international appeal. “They’re fools not to bring it back”

As always I’m with Lucy on this matter.

Lucy is back on STARZ with Ash vs Evil Dead, the much anticipated follow up to the Evil Dead and Army of Darkness films.
