Fans of The Walking Dead have a huge reason to rejoice! In a recent tweet, Jeffrey Dean Morgan announced that Melissa McBride will indeed appear in the highly anticipated spinoff, despite earlier reports suggesting otherwise. This exciting news comes as a pleasant surprise for all those die-hard fans who were left disappointed with the speculation of McBride’s exit from the project.
For those who may not be familiar with the situation, it all started last year when reports surfaced that Melissa McBride, known for her iconic role as Carol Peletier, had withdrawn from the Carol and Darly spinoff due to location issues. Fans hit out at Norman Reedus, blaming him for Mallisa’s withdrawal from the project. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, most notable for his portrayal of Negan in The Walking Dead, took fans to task in defence of Reedus.
Since then, many speculations and rumours have surrounded her participation in the show.
However, all the doubts seem to have finally been put to rest. Morgan revealed some valuable information about the spinoff. In a tweet posted on 22 June 2023, Morgan shared a picture of Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride as Daryl and Carol and wrote:

Morgan’s tweet has undoubtedly sent shockwaves of excitement among fans who were eagerly waiting for confirmation on McBride’s involvement in the project. Unfortunately, there has been no official statement from AMC or any spokesperson associated with the show.
