Good news for Being Mary Jane fans as BET has ordered a second season of the show. Being Mary Jane is BETs first original scripted drama series so I’m sure they are as pleased as punch that the series has performed so well in its first season. The show brought in 5.8 million viewers for this week’s season finale.
Being Mary Jane stars Gabrielle Union as a successful cable news personality whose relationship and family drama’s initially put me off the show. Now that it’s going to be around for a second season, I think I might just get on board and give it another try.
