Picard Day new season 2 teaser video released

17 June, 2021 by PashaO
John de Lancie Star Trek Picard

Paramount released a Star Trek: Picard official teaser video to coincide with the celebration of the annual Capitan Picard Day on 16 June.

From the latest teaser trailer, we get the sense that season two of Star Trek Picard would centre around time as Picard declares in the voice-over that time is the true final frontier. It seems that that time is broken.

We knew from a previous video that Q will be making an appearance in the new season armed with that knowledge, fans like me are wondering if time travel will play a part in season two. Q and Picard are no strangers to time travel and alternative timelines so this supposition, isn’t that far-fetched.

In the teaser trailer, we get a first look at the Picard and Q reunion as Q exclaims “Mon Capitan How I’ve missed you.”

We hear Jean-Luc saying “we can save the future,” as colleagues Chris Rios (Santiago Cabrera) and a now Borg implant-free Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) wake up in very different lives.

As Picard asks “What the hell is happening here?” I found myself asking the same question. I look forward to finding out in 2022.
