arrow-season-4-castNot content with rebranding Arrow to the Green Arrow, Season 4 will see new cast members added to the line up. During Comic-Con the producers announced that they would be adding Mr Terrific and Anarky to the show. At that time the roles hadn’t been cast but now they have along with another character Damien Darhk.

Damien Darhk

Neal McDonough who was last seen my me in Marvel’s Agent Carter playing the role of Dum-Dum Dugan, has been cast as a series regular playing the infamous Damien Darhk.

Damien Darhk was first mentioned in Season 3 of Arrow by Ra’s Al Ghul, who mentioned that Darhk had a “hive of supporters” around the world. (I’m guessing he was referring to that evil organization known as HIVE)

In an official statement, the producers described their version of Damien Darhk as “a mysterious and sophisticated villain, and an adversary of the late Ra’s Al Ghul. Now the leader of his own clandestine group, this cunning foe will prove to be one of the Arrow’s greatest challenges.”

Mr Terrific

Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) will get a new helper in the form of technological savant and inventor Curtis Holt aka Mr Terrific who will be played by Echo Kellum. He will make an appearance in episode two as one of Palmer Technologies’ resident inventors.

In the comics, Mr Terrific’s alter ego is Michael Holt, an extremely intelligent Olympic-level athlete who joined the justice Society of America following the death of his wife and unborn child.

Anarky

According to Comicbook.com who first broke the news, Alexander Calvert will be playing Lonnie Machin aka Anarky. He will make his appearance during episode two. Calvert has previously appeared on Bates Motel and The Returned.

The producers describe him as a deranged freelancing criminal who is willing to do whatever it takes to impress a potential employer.

Anarky is an environmental crusader and anti-government terrorist who has traditionally been a member of Batman’s rogues gallery in the pages of DC Comics.

Arrow season four is scheduled to premier on 7 October on The CW.
