Marvel is constantly plagued with accusations of sexism and a recent Avengers: Age of Ultron interview given by Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner haven’t helped matters.
Digital Spy asked a question about Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow character and the actors both made a slut-shaming joke.
They were asked: ‘I have a very serious question about shipping. I know a lot of fans were pretty invested in the idea of Natasha with either or both of you guys and now she’s with Bruce. What do you guys think about that?’
Jeremy Jenner replied: “She’s a slut”.
Evans burst out laughing and added: ‘She’s a complete whore’.
The actors thought it was funny but have since been accused of slut shaming, misogyny and sexism.
To redress the balance artist Agnes Domokos has switched the genders of some of the Avengers characters and the results are awesome.
The images were created by combining known Hollywood faces with cosplayers.
