Pretty little liars: Original sin cast lineup

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has cast its leads and series regulars. The dark, coming-of-age, horror reboot based on the bestselling books by Sara Shepard will feature a new story and new characters.

The liars

Chandler Kinney (Zombies 2, Lethal Weapon) will play Tabby, an aspiring director and horror movie buff. Like the other Little Liars, Tabby’s hiding a secret.

Maia Reficco (Evita, Kally’s Mashup) will portray Noa, a striving, sardonic track star who’s working hard to get her life back to normal after a summer spent in juvenile detention.

Bailee Madison will play Imogen, a true survivor. Like all of the Liars, Imogen is a final girl. She will drive the mystery of uncovering “A” as she fights for her life and the lives of her friends.

Zaria (Two Distant Strangers) will play Faran, a poised, disciplined ballerina with aspirations to make it out of Millwood. But “A” isn’t the only villain in Faran’s life. In the world of ballet, it is death by a thousand microaggressions.

Malia Pyles (Baskets) will portray Minnie, the youngest of the Little Liars. Having survived a childhood trauma, Minnie spends most of her time in a virtual world, but she is more than capable of taking on the dark forces of Millwood — including “A.”

Meet the mothers

Here are the actors set to join the Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin cast as the mothers for the latest generation of a group of little liars.

Sharon Leal (Dream Girls), Leal joins the cast as Sidney, Tabby’s mother and our main Pretty Little Liar matriarch. Sidney is a real estate agent and single mother, doing her best to provide for her daughter, as well as Imogen (Madison).

Elena Goode (Straight Outta Compton) will portray Marjorie, Noa’s mother, a nurse at Millwood General. Though she loves her daughter, Marjorie’s hiding a secret that threatens their relationship.

Carly Pope (Demonic) will appear as Davie, Imogen’s mother. Davie and Imogen have always been two against the world. But a chilling reminder from Davie’s dark past upends both of their lives.

Zakiya Young (Orange is the New Black) will play Corey, Faran’s mother. Once her marriage to Zeke dissolved, Corey sought greener pastures in Pittsburgh, PA, working as a paralegal, though she tells everyone she’s a lawyer.

Lea Salonga (Yellow Rose), will play Elodie, Minnie’s mom. A bit overbearing, Elodie works overtime to keep her daughter safe following a trauma that occurred when Minnie was just a little girl.

Other recurring cast members

Alex Aiono (Doogie Kamealoha, M.D., Finding ’Ohana), Mallory Bechtel (Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, Hereditary) and Eric Johnson (Fifty Shades Trilogy, The Knick) will also join the cast as recurring characters.

Aiono will play Shawn, Noa’s supportive boyfriend and one of the most popular jocks at Millwood High.

Bechtel takes is set to play Karen, Millwood High’s reigning queen of mean and an antagonist to the Little Liars.

Johnson will portray Sheriff Beasley, the domineering patriarch of the Beasley family.

The premise

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is a present-day iteration of the popular 2010-17 series written by Robert Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, the reboot based on the bestselling books by Sara Shepard will feature a new story and new characters.

Twenty years ago, a series of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. Now, in the present day, a group of disparate teen girls — a brand-new set of Little Liars — find themselves tormented by an unknown Assailant and made to pay for the secret sin their parents committed two decades ago…as well as their own. In the dark, coming-of-age, horror-tinged drama Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, we find ourselves miles away from Rosewood, but within the existing Pretty Little Liars universe — in a brand-new town, with a new generation of Little Liars.
