I asked what your favourite Xena episodes were and why, here are the results.

I like many, many Xena episodes but I especially like the episode” Old Ares had a farm”. You know the one where arse is mortal and in order to stay alive he (along with Xena and Gabrielle) hides out on Xena’s old farm. I found it really really funny!
I am sorry I am being pretty vague in my explanation about why like enjoyed it but, all I can say is that while watching it my laughter was virtually continuous. so thanx for reading this ,or not, but anyways I would just like to take this opportunity to say that Xena Rox!
I also really like “Animal Attractions”, “Fallen Angel”,”If the Shoe Fits”, “Endgame”, and “Them bones, Them Bones” (I really like Amazon ones)
I can also resite the episode “Legacy” entirely by heart! OK so I am a bit of a Xena addict but oh well. Thanx for listening to me babble!

Orphan of War : so sad, loved it, saw a different side of Xena, insight into her past.
The Greater Good : very sad, but very funny. It has one of the most famous lessons you can learn from Xena : to fight for the greater good!
Is there a doctor in the house?: Another emotional ep.
Prometheus : The chemistry!
Mortal Beloved : sad, insight into Xena’s past, great adventure.
Fistful of Dinars : more adventure, clever plot.
Destiny : loved the music ! loved Julius Caesar, well directed, brilliant ep. it was heartbreaking to see Gab at the end. A cliff hanger.
The Price : the horde fascinate me, clever plot, you can see something good come out of war. “The warriors code”
Comedy of Eros : what can I say ? I laughed ’til I cried!
The Furies : loved the contrast between humor and emotion. Very funny.
Warrior Priestess Tramp : hilarious!
Fin’s Femme’s and Gem’s : wonderful humor, nice ending.
One Against an Army : well directed, made me cry, clever end, brilliant ep.
Maternal Instincts : Tears all round, good music. Callisto’s speech.
Bitter Suite : great songs.
Vanishing Act : love auto! Very funny. Great to see a change of costume and Xena and gab acting different roles.
In sickness and Hell : Unbelievably funny. Loved the Argo storyline.

My favorites are : Is there a doctor in the house; A Day in the Life; anything where Xena and Gabrielle dies and come back is good; I just watched the new one for this season, God fearing child, I think it was called. That was excellent. An earlier one where the day kept repeating itself, that was really good. I just love the show, not too many I’ve been disappointed with.
As for subtext, well, when they said at first it wasn’t there, I believed them. But now, I’m like, who cares.

I think my favorite episode from Xena has to be The Quill is Mightier because I’m crazy about ARES and I thought he was really funny and NICE which is a change for him.
