If you were disappointed to learn that Kevin Sorbo is a jerk, it may shock you to discover that Person of Interest star Jim Caviezel is also a bellend. I admit as a big fan of Person of Interest, I am disheartened at the news.
Caviezel gave a bizarre speech at a QAnon conference where he repeated word-for-word Mel Gibson’s famous battle cry from Braveheart.
Jim Caviezel was speaking at the For God & Country: Patriot Double Down convention held in Las Vegas, where he claimed there was an ongoing religious war between Satan and liberal values.
In a video shared by the Twitter account PatriotTakes, we see 53-year-old Caviezel copy the fierce speech given by Mel Gibson’s character William Wallace before a battle with the English in his 1995 film Braveheart, including the famous line “you can take our lives, but you can never take our freedom”.
He then went on share familiar QAnon themes about child sex trafficking and religion. It appears Jim Caviezel has acquired some controversial viewpoints after rising to fame in 2004 as Jesus in The Passion of the Christ. Now, he joins the likes of Sorbo, Randy Quaid, Scott Baio and many others who have become vocal in their political beliefs.
So #Irrelevants#JimQviezel has lost his fucking mind and #MelGibson was better https://t.co/H2dDpr8U7s

Many former fans were shocked to learn of Caviezel’s political leanings and called for his cancellation. As a former fan who has been disappointed by many celebs I have adopted a new mantra: Once we acknowledge that celebrities are human beings and not magical deities, we may be less inclined to be shocked when they open their mouths and say unscripted things.

Just because someone has different political leanings doesn’t mean they should be ‘cancelled’. I would say that he has more of the inside scoop of what could be going on in Hollywood and is trying to say something.
