This was the moment when Samuel L Jackson roasted a news anchor on live TV in a case of mistaken identity.
Samuel L Jackson was mistaken for Laurence Fishburne by news anchor Sam Rubin of KTLA. This has to be the funniest and most cringe-making interview ever as Samuel tore Sam a new one.
Sam Rubin started the interview by asking Jackson whether he “got a lot of reaction from that Super Bowl commercial.” He was referring to an advert for the new Kia sedan – in which Fishburne reprised his role from The Matrix.
Glorious cringe-inducing hell rained down as Samuel L told the news anchor “We don’t all look alike! We may all be black and famous but we don’t all look alike.”
“You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter.”
“There’s more than one black guy doing a commercial,” he went on. “I’m the ‘What’s in your wallet?’ black guy. He’s the car black guy.
“Morgan Freeman is the other credit card, black guy. You only hear his voice, though, so you probably won’t confuse him with Laurence Fishburne.”
I had to laugh when Rubin tried to change the topic by saying: “Let’s talk about Robocop,” and Samuel said “Oh hell, no.”
