The autumn TV schedule has started and I haven’t been motivated to say a thing about it until now. It’s not the fault of the schedule, how could it be with the return of favourites like Haven, Scandal, Arrow and Person of Interest. No, I was demotivated by one show and I can’t believe I allowed myself to get so wound up in my disappointment.
What am I talking about? Why Under the Dome of course. After watching episode 9, I lost the will to blog and the will to watch current TV. I got fed up with banging my head, instead, I escaped to past TV favourites as I often do when disillusioned with stuff.
This time round I Netflixed all five seasons of Andromeda Despite the fact that the worst Kevin in the Xenaverse stars in it. I didn’t even realise there were five seasons. I thought I’d watched this show religiously but obviously not. It was great to catch up with Tyr (Keith Hamilton Cobb) Harper (Gordon Michael Woolvett) Beka (Lisa Ryder) Trance (Laura Bertram) and of course Andromeda, the ship made flesh (Alexa Doig). Good times!
Now I feel refreshed. I was feeling guilty about finishing my reviews for Under the Dome, Pretty Little Liars and Graceland, but now I don’t. If I never watch another episode of Under the Dome, I’ll be a saner person. Graceland on the other hand was brilliant and must not go uncommented so; I’ll get on that review later.
In the meantime, I’m considering reviewing the new TV series Sleepy Hollow. I have to say I’m deeply in like with this show but I’m scared it might disappoint. I’m also checking out The Tomorrow People (it looks interesting) and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.LD. This looks interesting. It stars Clark Gregg from the Iron Man movies and Ming-Na Wen who played Camile Wray in Stargate Universe.
There’s a lot to watch this autumn so let’s have at it!
